Taking the Ice Bucket Challenge!

In August 2014 the team here at GOC was challenged to complete the Ice Bucket Challenge. Everyone involved donated to our chosen charity McMillan Cancer Trust.

Extended Opening hours

Due to patient demand we are delighted to announce that from February 2015 we will be open on Saturdays. Our opening hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm and 9am to 1.45pm on Saturdays and we are open on all bank holidays except Christmas and New Year. Our patients are important to us and we listen to the feedback they give. Our aim is to give everyone a smile to be proud of, with appointment times that suit them and payment options to help spread the cost.
Our trained Treatment Co-Ordinators will spend as much time as is needed with you on your first visit to the practice. Think of them as your interpreter - they are there to listen to your concerns and understand your needs and will explain everything in simple terms so you leave with an understanding of all your treatment options, costs and timescales. With free consultations for all, what do you have to lose?

New Orthodontist Joined us

We are pleased to announce that we have a new full time orthodontist who started with us in January. Fadi brings lots of energy to the team and already we feel like he's a key part of the Practice. In 2011, two years after qualifying as a dentist, Fadi commenced Specialist Training in Orthodontics at the UCLH Eastman Dental Hospital in London. He was awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry with Merit by the University College London in 2014 and holds Memberships in Dentistry and Orthodontics awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and England.
Passionate about Dentistry and Orthodontics, Fadi endeavours to ensure that patients are always well informed and comfortable during treatment. He has undertaken clinical research aimed at improving treatment outcomes and using the internet to provide information to patients. When asked why he specialized in Orthodontics, Fadi replied: "every patient is unique and working as a team to transform someone's smile is truly rewarding for everyone involved".
Fadi moved to Glasgow just recently and has found it to be "a wonderful city that feels warm even when it's cold outside due to the friendly nature of Glaswegians". He is delighted to be a part of the team at the Giffnock Orthodontic Centre and is committed to providing the best care possible to patients.
During his spare time, Fadi enjoys playing basketball, watching football, and discovering the rest of Scotland

Changes to our Clinic

Some of you eagle eyed patients may have noticed that there have been some major changes to the shape and size of some of our staff. We are not talking about the usual after Christmas bulge but infact we have three nurses who were expecting babies. All three babies have now come into the world:- Kristina's baby Thalia was born in early January with Stephanie's baby Naomi not far behind. Hayley's baby Blaire was born in March so that's three girls...what's the odds? All mothers and babies are doing well and we wish them all the happiness in the world with their gorgeous new additions.
With three experienced nurses all off on maternity leave, we have been busy training up some of our new recruits. Giffnock Orthodontic Centre would like to welcome Yvonne, Ruth, Jen and Laura to the gang. Keep a look out for information on each of our team members on our Facebook page.
